Excellent place for kilt hire - got measured and picked up kilt within 10 days of the event which was really lucky! Looked so smart and really helpful instructions for anyone who was new to a kilt. Huge thanks to full team I'm sure we'll be back!

I can't rate Anderson kilts high enough, we had a very specific request and for a very specific tartan. From the very first phone call I was made to feel important and valued, the gent on the phone told me that there were different types of this one tartan. Off to Dumfries we went, the shop was wonderful and laid out well. It was also dog friendly which was handy as we had a wee whippet with anxiety who was left in the car, so we could bring him in the shop which was just another thing that made us feel so comfortable. I dealt with Gavin, who spoke to me about tartans and the more finer details of the outfit. It was for my 21st party, the tartan was the tartan that my great grandfather who was from Dumfries and we have a great affinity with the town and the football team. My great grandfather was in the KOSB and Gavin took me through the tartan book and we found the modern regimental tartan which was as close as we could find 104 years later. I was very pleased with that, Gavin measured me up and let me ask any daft questions I wanted to. On the jacket, I wanted to go for the Bonnie Prince Charlie jacket, but Gavin informed me that the style wouldn’t go with the tartan. So I chose a jacket with shiny lapels, until Gavin said to me that when the KOSB come into the shop they wear a rifle green jacket. And that was it! The outfit was sold. I was very keen for updates, and Graeme and Gavin on the emails would always get back to me within the hour, just another thing that made us feel valued. We headed down once more, myself, mum, girlfriend, and Cooper the dog. To try the outfit on and because we were traveling up and down from Glasgow, any last-minute nips and tucks were done on the day. One final try on and it was perfect. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would. From service, knowledge, understanding, email replying, and altering all deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you all at Anderson’s for making the outfit what it was the family loved it! Everything from the jacket, to helping with the tartan, to the exact colour of green on the waist coat, and jacket. To the matching colour of bow tie, even the sensitive nature in which the staff at the shop dealt with helping us choose my cuff links. My dad passed away at the end of January and loved deer so Gavin helped us pick out some antler cuff links, as another way that dad could be with me on my special day. Thank you all so much!

I approached Andersons in early 2020 to make me a kilt jacket and waistcoat from my wedding at the end of the year. From start to finish, it was a pleasure to work with them. And the end result was simply outstanding. Every single one of the staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and friendly. It goes without saying that the whole task was made more difficult by the ongoing pandemic, but this didn't affect the service whatsoever. To cap it off, with all the service I received and email communications, the price was very reasonable. My father in law also rented his outfit for the day, and was not disappointed. I can't recommend Anderson's highly enough, especially as a local, family-run business.

Fantastic fast delivery of the softest, highest quality Ghillie Shirt (in black) and very good quality socks to match. Having already had my kilt made for my wedding it was a perfect change up of the outfit for my niece's wedding yesterday. Would highly recommend.

Great shop, but was just so disappointed by the sales lass. Fitted me out out with a kilt when I said I was at my maximum size, after a two month holiday . Now have a splendid kilt that will not fit on my next Burns supper, I asked about brogue shirts and was informed only dress shirts. So I said I would look around, brogue shirts where hanging and on sale.. asked if they had coten and yes, they did, but not on display. Loved the Shop, but was very disappointed by the sales lady, which is why I only give 4 stars. If I was the owner , I would sack her. Came to spend money and was received by an impolite sales assistant. However, I loved the shop Anderson Kilts, called me as they said. Can only say, excellent customer service and I feel they went far beyond what they needed to. Very happy and would give 10 stars. Again, it’s a great shop 👍🏻

Excellent personal service every time from a family business. We bought my son's highland wear here for his 21st birthday, later for me a crail jacket/w-coat and finally a w-coat to complete my son's outfit for his wedding. We only chose Andersons because it was the closest to the border, living on Merseyside, but it was the best decision!

I ordered a kilt for a wedding soon. A very professional team measured myself, even got another kilt, of my size to see how it hung, they verified all details, made some option of extras for the outfit. Well pleased with my experience. First class service for this shop.

Relatively easy to use site to use. Though if I could have just straight searched for our tartan I could have saved time scrolling through pages of tartan I don't want. Delivery was prompt and quality high. Many thanks

I discovered Anderson Kilts during a presents search on line. They did not have quite what I wanted so I contacted them by e mail. There was a very prompt response from Graeme Anderson offering me exactly what I wanted and delivery before Christmas as it was a present. The item has arrived exactly as I wanted. The companies aftersales was fantastic and I will be using them again and would very highly recommend them.

Definitely recommend Anderson Kilts. I enquired about raising the hem on my kilt and we agreed I would post them the kilt since I live in England. The cost was very affordable and they did a speedy alteration and phoned me a couple of times about returning the kilt. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the kilt is perfect on me.
